We had a beautiful tour of the North-East launching Bikes for Christmas 2025, from a sunny Cullen to a rainy Stonehaven.
The initiative first launched in 2023, providing over 200 children across Banffshire and Buchan Coast with bikes and helmets, spreading festive cheer and tackling child poverty.
After last year’s success, we expanded the scheme, with Aberdeen City joining the programme for the first time and both Aberdeenshire and Moray Councils extending the project to cover their entire local authority areas.
We were joined by pupils from the local schools, who had cycling sessions!
It was a great day, showcasing the huge benefit bike reuse brings, putting smiles on families faces this Christmas.
Stop 1 on the Bikes for Christmas launch was bonny Cullen!
We met up with local school kids and Moray Council reps to roll out the scheme for this year, and what a fantastic day it was!
Check out some videos from the day below!
We headed to Stop 2 on the launch in Kingswells, at Adventure Aberdeen!
Local school kids joined us again and got a cycling demo from Sport Aberdeen, which was fantastic!
Last but not least on our North-East tour, Stop 3 - Stonehaven!
The rain couldn’t stop us, or the school kids having a go on the obstacle course set up by Live Life Aberdeenshire!
Giving out free upcycled bikes to kids across Scotland has been so rewarding, and very busy too! But we did make some time to have a go ourselves.
Check out me and Mark demoing a tandem bike!
